Plant Care Tips
Planting InstructionsBasket planters can be refreshed yearly by removing the plants from their basket and adding fresh potting soil. If the roots aren't too thick, simply use a tool like a hand cultivator to rake away up to a third of the soil from the surface of the root ball. If the roots are very thick, trim off an inch or two from the surface with a serrated blade. Add new soil to the bottom of the hanging basket and place the plants back in, filling in with more fresh soil around the edges. The top of the root ball should be at about the same level as before it was removed.
General Care DescriptionHang in a location with only early morning sun at most. Bright shade all day is best. Keep evenly moist and trim as needed. Hanging baskets typically require more frequent watering than other plants.
